ALL THE DETAILS ON MY BACHELORETTE PARTY IN PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA
WHAT HAVING A BACHELORETTE PARTY IN PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA IS LIKE
Whenever I pictured my future bachelorette party, I always thought about going somewhere out of Texas. I basically wanted a mini vacation with my best girlfriends.. or girlfriend. I didn’t really have a ton of girl friends growing up. I basically had one solid friendship I could rely on and I still have her to this day but now I have 10 other girls in my life… Like WHAT? I’m a girl who doesn’t have time for… to be frank, stupid bullshit drama. Which is why I had a lot of guy friends growing up that didn’t care about it.
However, when you’re friends with guys they really don’t keep up friendships and a lot of those high school friendships fizzled out — minus the one girlfriend I had. In college is where I found my girl tribe of amazing, genuine, real, and fun girls. My sister and I even talked about how crazy it is I have 9 bridesmaids because I NEVER had girlfriends growing up and now I’m surrounded by beautiful women inside and out that truly care for me and that I would literally jump in front of a bus for.
Looking back on this bachelorette party in Palm Springs, it’s better than anything I could have ever imagined and more! Because I’m having a spooky chic wedding and even gave spooky chic bridesmaid boxes to my girls — see here, my girls threw me a spooky chic bachelorette party in the most gorgeous Palm Springs mansion! In this post I’ll be sharing all the deets from where we stayed, where we ate, and everything we did in between.
WHAT DID THE HOUSE AND DECORATIONS LOOK LIKE?
When I first walked in the door I was greeted with this adorable balloon wall that said “From muggle to Mrs.” and of course… a tequila shot! I loved that my love for Harry Potter was included in the decorations as well. It was a very pleasant surprise! Every corner of the house was decorated with spiderwebs, pumpkin jars full of candy, cauldrons full of popcorn, skull tumblers for drinks, and even a tombstone that said “RIP Tanna’s single life”! My friends truly know me the best because I’m obsessed with anything and everything spooky and with a spooky chic wedding theme — it was perfect!
EVERYTHING ABOUT MY SPIDERWEB CAKE
Let’s talk cake, y’all. This cake was the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted and every single person at my bachelorette party agreed. It was an amaretto cake with an espresso frosting and holy freaking crap y’all. I’m seriously having dreams about this cake! My maid of honor, Christine is in a bunch of Facebook groups and found this woman in San Diego who converted her garage into a home kitchen and she’s the goddess who made this cake!
WHERE TO EAT IN PALM SPRINGS
I’m going to be honest, I can’t remember names or know if I even have photos of where all we went in Palm Springs — haha! Oops but also like it was my bach party so I regret nothing LOL! I know we went to an asian food restaurant for dinner one night and then ended up at a speakeasy inside another restaurant. Do I remember the name of them? Nope. The ones I do remember, I’ve listed below.🙂
Ernest Coffee
We popped into this coffee shop before we went to drag brunch and it was yummy and a great place to hangout while we waited.
Cafe La Jefa
This cute little cafe was right down the street from the brunch place we decided on for Friday morning. Cafe La Jefe was the perfect place to sit and have a coffee while you wait for your table to be ready at Cheeky’s. There were even a couple vendors and boutiques connected to where the coffee shop was that we browsed. There was even a huge area next to the coffee shop outside where you can sit in cute trendy swings and cool off in the shade.
Cheeky’s
Cheeky’s was SO yum! I highly recommend popping in early to get your name on the list, especially if you have a large group of people and then walk down the street to Cafe La Jefa for coffee and shopping instead of waiting in the hot sun. At Cheeky’s we split mimosa carafes, apps, and then a couple of us had the bloody mary’s in the cutest boot glass. Overall, it’s a great place for brunch with your gal pals, significant other, or family! Their fresh and inventive menu is made from scratch using the freshest local ingredients. The menu changes weekly, serving up creative meditations on breakfast and lunch—with super fun vibes—in a bright indoor-outdoor setting. We grabbed a large table outside and it was great — they had fans going and even misters!
OUR AIRBNB WAS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE
Our airbnb was truly the focal point of the entire trip! You can find it here and the management company has a lot of other properties too. When I pictured my bachelorette party, I wanted it to be chic and fun and just a party with all my girls but a time when we could relax and just have a nice pool and drinking day together. I will say — Palm Springs is very strict when it comes to noise restrictions and you can’t really have a wild party or even play music loudly outside. Which we didn’t have an issue with because we were talking the entire time! Regarding the rest of the house it was HUGE! A couple of us shared big king or queen beds but some of my girls even got beds to themselves. Additionally, the property was is in a gorgeous neighborhood and we walked around one night and looked at all the fancy houses on our street!
BRUNCHIN’ AT THE AIRBNB
I’m kind of a homebody so I wanted to spend a decent amount of time with my girls in the incredible airbnb we rented. I mean we spent a decent chunk of money on the airbnb so why not spend a lot of time there. We made breakfast a couple mornings and then this brunch pictured below was my favorite with little pumpkins and candy corn included!
MEET THE GIRLS WHO SHAPED ME TO WHO I AM TODAY
Ugh these girls , y’all. They are truly my favorite humans and I seriously am tearing up writing this because I never in a million years thought I would be surrounded by this many incredible women. A lot of people though I was insane for having so many bridesmaid but I just didn’t care. Like I mentioned before, I had like one girlfriend in high school and made all these gal pals in college — and they have seen me in my truest and rawest form. Every single one of them and I couldn’t have imagined getting married without them all by my side. Pictured from left to right: Veda, Chelsea, Whitney (my sister), Lizzy, Ana (my bestie in Houston I can’t even imagine my life without), Maddie, Melissa, Rachael, Christine, and not pictured: Michaela & Taylor.
WE GOT TATTOOS
It wouldn’t be a trip to California is I didn’t get a tattoo or two! My first tattoo I’ve ever got was in California with my best friend, Christine. So… it was only natural that a couple of us went out and got some tattoos. My sister and I got matching tattoos for us and our brother. Each dot represents us and then the circled one is where we fall. I’m the middle child.🙃 I also got an awesome crescent moon on my shoulder blade and then Christine got the cutest little Saturn on her arm.
PALM SPRINGS DRAG BRUNCH
I had never been to a Drag Brunch before and oh my gosh it was amazing! Every performer was a goddess and so freaking good at what they do. At one point I was also pushed on stage to take a shot with everyone celebrating something — it was awesome! Thank god it was a lemon drop shot too so it was delicious and didn’t make me want to puke in public haha! The food was Dim Sum and very tasty along with the champagne and other drinks.
You can find all the details on purchasing tickets here. I don’t want to give too much away, but it was such an awesome experience and one you should do if you’re in PS.
Overall, it was everything I could have asked for and more getting all my girlfriends together on a mini vacation and celebrating together. I can’t say it enough, but my friends are absolutely incredible and I’m thankful for them every single fucking day.
