WHY BRYCE CANYON INN IS THE BEST PLACE TO STAY WHILE VISITING BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK IN UTAH

If you're planning on road-tripping in Utah, staying in a cozy hotel or cabin can make the experience even better. There are plenty of options available, but the Bryce Canyon Inn stands out as our top pick. They offer a range of amenities that go above and beyond what you might expect from a typical hotel stay, making it a truly memorable experience.

What are the rooms like at Bryce Cabin Inn?

STANDARD CABINS

The Standard Cabins were absolutely perfect for us and slept 4 people. We loved how spacious they were and that we didn’t share walls with anyone because we truly had our own private cabin. You know how sometimes you get stuck next to a loud guest? Well, don’t worry about that here. The beds were comfortable and we loved having a little porch outside our room to chill on and watch the sunset — with a coffee in hand of course!

DELUXE CABINS

While we were visiting they were just building these new fancy Deluxe Cabins that are a little bigger than the standard cabins. These look and feel a little more modern than the standard cabins but are right next to them. Overall, we would probably book the standard cabin again because we loved it so much and I actually liked the cabin look on the outside more.

What Bryce Canyon Inn Amenities are available?

Check out the coffee shop on-site

Looking for coffee or breakfast? Look no further than Bryce Canyon Coffee Company. It’s actually in the lobby of Bryce Canyon Inn where you check in and grab your keys. My biggest recommendation is to get up early and go grab one of their breakfast sandwiches… they were so yummy and homemade! They were great to pack in our bags to eat while hiking in Bryce Canyon National Park. Also, the convenience of an iced vanilla latte just steps from my room was 11/10 in my book!

Grab some food at The Pizza Place

We loved that we could easily walk across the parking lot and have dinner at The Pizza Place which is owned by Bryce Canyon Inn as well. We decided to splurge and grab some of Peg’s homemade breadsticks and they were DELICIOUS! The Pizza Place was established in 1990 by Bart and Peggy Palmer. The special recipes that made the Pizza Place a success have now been handed down to their children, and they continue to make the best pizza in southern Utah.

Explore Utah’s most spectacular views

Mecham Outfitters and Guide Service offers private horse and mule tours of the rugged landscape of the Escalante Grand Staircase National Monument which is about 12 minutes from Bryce Canyon Inn. The guides will take you through winding slot canyons filled with local history, and guests a new perspective of Bryce Canyon by showing you different angles of the crimson canyon not many visitors get to see. Their goal is to give you a real riding experience with an entertaining and knowledgeable guide in some of the most spectacular places you’ll ever explore.

What is close to Bryce Canyon Inn?

Visit the Popular Hoodoos of Bryce Canyon

The stunning and world-renowned hoodoos of Bryce Canyon are situated in southwestern Utah, only 15 minutes away from Bryce Canyon Inn. Bryce Canyon is a unique geological feature that is often mistakenly referred to as a canyon. It is actually a formation of hoodoos, which are created by the erosion caused by streams and cold weather on the bedrock of lakes and rivers. The sedimentary rocks come in magnificent shades of orange, white, and red, providing visitors with breathtaking views. Every year, over a million people visit Bryce Canyon National Park to enjoy the beauty of the hoodoos.

One of my all-time favorite trails is the Navajo Loop Trail, but be warned… 1.4 miles seems like nothing until the elevation change starts to hit ya! If you’ve seen pictures of iconic switchbacks in Bryce Canyon then they were most likely from this trail. They were rough but SO worth the views! Another little trail/area from an epic view of the hoodoos is Inspiration Point. You can park in the parking lot and simply walk 5 minutes to an iconic view! This is a great option for those who can’t hike or can’t walk for too long.

Pop over to Old Bryce Town

Old Bryce Town takes you back to old Western days with themed and decorated storefronts and activities for all ages. The town consists of companies that provide old-west photos, hand-dipped ice cream, baked goods, rock shops, souvenirs, and other supplies for camping or visiting. This shopping center is in the heart of town and has an eclectic feel of the Wild West. We stopped by right after hiking in Bryce Canyon National Park for some ice cream and it absolutely hit the spot! This quaint little spot is also only 12 minutes from Bryce Canyon Inn which was a little dangerous because the ice cream was SO GOOD!

Where to go fishing near Bryce Canyon

It’s hard to believe that there is anywhere to fish in the desert landscapes that surround Bryce Canyon — but behold, there’s definitely water nearby that you can cast a line in! Some of the best places to go are:

TROPIC RESERVOIR - This lake sits atop the Paunsaugunt Plateau and is quite beautiful. Surrounded by the Ponderosa Pine Forest, this lake makes for a relaxing and beautiful fishing trip. Located 8 miles south of U-12 on FS-087. Each year the lake is stocked with rainbow trout, giving fishermen the opportunity to catch them and they can be up to 10 inches in size! The best season to fish this lake is in the summer months after the lake has been stocked.

PINE LAKE - Pine Lake is a very popular fishing spot because this Lake is stocked yearly and offers some great fish! Shore, lure, boat, and fly fishing are all options at this incredible lake and only a 30-minute drive from Bryce Canyon Inn. Located just over 15 miles North of Bryce Canyon, it makes a perfect day trip for fishermen visiting the park.

PANGUITCH LAKE - Located about an hour from Bryce Canyon, Panguitch Lake is yet another very popular lake for visitors. This is actually one of the most important sport fisheries in Southern Utah and this lake is very popular in the winter months for ice fishing. Shore, fly, and boat fishing are all optional as well for Panguitch Lake.

NAVAJO LAKE - This is probably one of the most beautiful lakes in Utah to fish in. It’s fed by spring water and snow melt making it absolutely stunning and clear. Located in the heart of Dixie National Forest, 26 miles from Cedar City, UT. This lake contains rainbow trout, brook trout, and splake and is restocked yearly.

The next time you’re near or in Bryce Canyon and have an itch to fish, check out one of these lakes!

Overall, we loved staying at Bryce Canyon Inn and would absolutely stay in one of their Standard Cabins again. Have you stayed here before?
