WHY STAYING AT LAZY LAVENDER PROPERTIES IN WIMBERLEY, TEXAS IS THE BEST DECISION YOU CAN MAKE

Escape to a hidden oasis in Texas called Wimberley. It’s just 45 minutes south of Austin and about 3 hours west of Houston. The town of Wimberley has that small town feel with a downtown that’s extremely walkable full of shops and restaurants. Bonus, you can grab a drink and walk around with it just like Bourbon Street in New Orleans.

Not only does Wimberley have cute shops and good restaurants they have amazing natural attractions you’ll absolutely want to experience such as: The Blue Hole, Jacob’s Well, and Old Baldy — but more on that later. This post is all about where you’re absolutely going to want to stay while you’re experiencing the wonders of Wimberley. The Lazy Lavender vacation homes aren’t just luxury vacation homes — they’re a state of mind! These properties are luxury meets chic farm house meets country living. You might even see some exotic deer in the backyard!

Getting to the properties is only a 7 minute drive from town but the driveway is a little bit hidden so be sure to be alert or you can blink and miss it. Once you turn in, it’s a short drive down and then you’ll see a gate to the two properties.

We felt completely secluded from town and fully in the countryside of Wimberley but again, we were only about 7 minutes from town. Additionally, the properties are next to one another but you completely feel as though you’re separated from each other. That definitely takes some skill and thought into the properties, something that Nathali, one of the owners and mastermind behind these properties, has.

WHY STAYING AT LAZY LAVENDER PROPERTIES IN WIMBERLEY, TEXAS IS THE BEST DECISION YOU CAN MAKE

The Lazy Lavender House

The Lazy Lavender House is very spacious with three beautiful bedrooms and two full bathrooms. It’s the perfect place for a big family, group of friends, or multiple couple vacation. We loved being able to enjoy our coffee outside on the front porch or on the back patio, which again, felt very private from the other property.

The Kitchen

When we opened the door to The Lazy Lavender House I was immediately drawn to this beautiful kitchen… I mean it just screamed farm house chic and feels like something I’d see at Magnolia or Joanna Gains designed. I think a couple of pieces in there are from Joanna Gain’s line at Target! SomethingI really appreciated is that the kitchen had a basket of snacks and ingredients to make s’mores — my personal favorite! There was also coffee, tea, and even liquid coffee creamer in the fridge. A place that has liquid coffee creamer is doing it right in my books, am I right?

The Master Bedroom

This is the master bedroom of your dreams, truly. It felt extremely private from the rest of the house and was very spacious with the comfy chair in the corner. Don’t even get me started on the giant closet behind big beautiful sliding barn doors. I was able to put my large suitcase in there on a bench and then unload everything else onto shelves and hang up. There’s even a desk in the bedroom too if you need a space to work on things while visiting Wimberley.

The Luxurious Master Bathroom

Connected to the master bedroom is this absolutely luxurious master bathroom. If you thought the master bedroom was good… the master bathroom is ultimately the bathroom of your dreams with it’s large tub, clear shower, dual sink countertop, and even lavender bath salts to relax in the tub.

Additional Bathrooms & Bathroom

The additional bedrooms were just as cute and still pretty spacious for not being the master bedroom. The full bathroom had all the same amenities minus the big tub. I loved that the bathrooms offered high quality shower products and soaps too. Staying in airbnb's should be similar in the way that they provide these things as hotels do but half the time they don’t. The Lazy Lavender truly goes above and beyond to make their guests experience 110%.

The Backyard

Talk about a gathering space… oh my lord. This backyard was more than we expected in the best way. It included a large table for a family dinner, an adorable porch swing, comfy outdoor chairs, a fire pit with chairs around it, corn hole, and my personal favorite — the tire swing! I’ve always loved those things since I was a child and heck.. it’s still fun as an adult. The outdoor space at The Lazy Lavender House is definitely a space to utilize while staying. You might even see an exotic deer while enjoying a glass of wine on the porch!

The Lazy Lavender Cottage

The private Lazy Lavender Cottage consists of an open-concept with a kitchen & dining area as well as the living room. Additionally, there is a separate bedroom and an absolutely stunning bathroom. The Lazy Lavender Cottage sleeps 2-4 guests as the couch turns into a sofa sleeper. What I loved about the cottage is that it was just as chic and charming as the house but in it’s own way. The cottage was full of color and felt a little more bohemian vs. the chic farm house vibes of the house.

The Kitchen & Living Room

The main area is open floor plan but doesn’t feel crowded by any means. We were able to sit at the dining room table and talk to someone on the couch but it wasn’t super close by, if that makes sense. The kitchen was fully stocked like the other property with snacks, s’mores kits, tea, coffee, creamer, and more.

The Bedroom & Bathroom

Oh my gosh, y’all this bedroom just screamed color and immediately made me think of everything Opal House line from Target. The bright fun colors mixed with patterns and textures. The bathroom is separate from the bedroom to allow for guests staying on the couch to have easy access as well. The bathroom kind of blew me away y’all.. the sink was a masterpiece of it’s own. I’ll let you judge from the photo but it was such a beautiful and unique piece to add. Which is basically what both these properties had — amazing unique pieces.

The Lazy Lavender Cottage is absolutely a wonderful place for a couples getaway. It’s secluded but close to town and the perfect place to unwind for a romantic weekend.

Things to do near by

Some amazing natural experiences near by I recommend are checking out The Blue Hole (make reservations online at least a week in advance), swimming in the beautiful oasis that is Jacob’s Well, and finally spending an evening hiking up Old Baldy for a stunning view of the city of Wimberley. Some additional things to do would be to grab a friend and head downtown. The town square is full of shops and fun little places to pop in for a drink or even candy. Yes, they have an old school candy shop there called the Candy Cottage!

Places to eat near by

There are numerous places to eat in the Wimberley town square or even just s bit outside it. Some of my favorites were grabbing pizza and deviled eggs at Community Pizza & Beer Garden, queso fundido and sandwiches at The Leaning Pear, and finally, grabbing wine slushies at Wimberley Valley Winery.

But wait… there’s more!

We had the wonderful opportunity to speak with Nathali, the owner of Lazy Lavender, and hear her & her husband’s personal story as well as what she was thinking when she started these vacation homes. Additionally, we were able to get a SNEAK PEEK at what’s to come; because The Lazy Lavender is… *drum roll please* building THREE new properties, y’all!! Nathali kindly showed us around and explained what each property will be… get excited you guys because they’re going to be insanely amazing! What was really special to me was being able to hear Nathali’s thoughts behind every decision being made. She truly wants her guests to have an amazing experience and keep coming back, which she’s already doing with her two other properties.

Excited to visit Wimberley and stay at The Lazy Lavender Properties? To be honest, I can’t wait to go back and visit!

XOXO
