A thirty-minute stroll up Avalon Canyon from town center, the Wrigley Memorial and Botanical Garden is worth it for its vast acreage of beauty! Walk along the trail with exotic and rare species of plants and cacti to the beautiful memorial building with a great view and gorgeous blue tile murals. Head over around sunset to catch stunning views of the pastel sunset!🌅

 

EXPLORE BUENA VISTA POINT SCENIC OVERLOOK

One of the best places to snap an Insta-worthy photo of Avalon and its beautiful harbor, is Buena Vista Point. This spectacular location is accessible by golf cart, which is the easiest way to get around on the island. A quick 10-minute golf cart ride up the mountain gets you to this beautiful spot, with lots of scenic views along the drive. You’ll truly be asking yourself if this is California or Italy as it ultimately resembles Italy's gorgeous Amalfi Coast. 

 

EXPERIENCE CATALINA’S STUNNING & HISTORICAL CASINO

One of the most iconic spots in Avalon is The Catalina Casino! Dominating the Avalon landscape from its regal perch on the edge of Avalon Bay, the Casino exemplifies the style and romance of Catalina Island. Fun Fact: it’s not an actual casino, it’s a theater and ballroom – and undoubtedly one of the best spots in Avalon to snap an Instagram photo. The Mediterranean architecture, domed ceiling, soaring murals and lavish medley of rose-hued walls, and Tiffany-like chandeliers cannot be missed!📸

 

ENJOY A MEAL WITH YOUR TOES IN THE SAND

Only a short stroll past the historic Catalina Casino, Descanso Beach Club features Avalon’s only beach side restaurant and bar you’ll be dying to visit. It’s also one of Southern California’s last beaches open to the public, where you can have a drink in your hand and your feet in the sand. Enjoy spectacular views, cabana rentals, and signature food and drinks!🍹 It’s the perfect spot to snap a signature vacay photo with a drink in hand!
