THE BEST WAY TO SPEND A WEEKEND IN SAN DIEGO
Whether your pastime of choice is lounging by the pool, an exhilarating Jet Ski adventure, or a bike ride along the bay, Paradise Point Resort & Spa offers a multitude of recreational activities for all ages. From gorgeous sunset hikes with incredible views, beautiful murals, delicious food, to San Diego’s Old Town and even hanging from the famous potato chip rock, there’s something for everyone!
VISIT A SECRET & COLORFUL MURAL
Looking for a secret photo spot in San Diego your Instagram audience will love? Roy McMakin's Favorite Color is enchanting, visually playful, and came to fruition through the artist's collaborative concept. This mural is all about color and happiness, which is exactly what you’ll see and feel when you visit it!🌈 Find it at 7596 Eads Ave, La Jolla.
TAKE AN EPIC SUNSET PHOTO OVER THE OCEAN
Sunset Cliffs Natural Park is an absolute MUST for photos, especially at Golden Hour.🌅 This 1.5 mile long coastal park features dramatic cliffs, rocks with tide pools, palm trees, and even sea caves you can explore at low tide! This is definitely one of the best places to take pictures in San Diego for that classic California sunset shot!
STROLL THROUGH OLD TOWN SAN DIEGO
Old Town San Diego was the first European settlement in California thus making it the oldest neighborhood in San Diego. You’ll feel like you actually walked back in time. San Diego is rich in Mexican influence, so this is where you’ll find many local artisan shops and a big Dia De Los Muertos celebration each fall. Additionally, there are numerous bars and restaurants with colorful margaritas perfect for taking fun “cheers” photos with friends.
HANG OFF OF THE FAMOUS POTATO CHIP ROCK
Up for a hike to the most Insta-famous rock in Southern California? Say hello to Potato Chip Rock! It’s known for looking just like a flat potato chip — hints the name. This is one of the most famous San Diego photo spots for fun photos, like hanging off the edge! The trail is a decent hike on the Mt. Woodson summit so be sure to bring plenty of water and your camera!📸
EXPERIENCE THE BEAUTY OF BALBOA PARK
This beautiful park is an absolute must while in San Diego — especially for photos! Balboa Park spans 1200 acres and boasts over 80 museums, gardens, and attractions. Kids love the Balboa Park Carousel and Reuben H. Fleet Science Center while adults can get a culture fix at Old Globe Theater or San Diego Museum of Art. Grab a coffee and take a stroll through this stunning park!
Have you visited San Diego before? It’s one of my favorite places to explore in Southern California!
