Put on your trendiest outfits and head to one of the most famous music festivals held in a 350 acre park right in downtown Austin called Austin City Limits music festival. Chow down in Texas style as all the food vendors are local Austin eats from around the city. The festival is on two consecutive three-day weekends in October and an event you absolutely won’t want to miss!
Explore the wonders of Texas Hill Country
Austin is a harbor for outdoor enthusiasts. Sink your teeth into Texas BBQ
Barbecue is a way of life in Texas, there’s just no way around it. The smoked meat scene found in the Austin area is unlike any other and one you’ll absolutely want to experience. From Brisket stuffed kolaches at Kerlin BBQ, smoked brisket or pulled pork tacos at Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ, to good ole fashion Texas brisket and potato salad at the James Beard Award-winning Franklin Barbecue. You might even have to start lining up at 6:00 am to get some of the best brisket in the nation, but it’s absolutely worth it and an event you’ll want to document on the Gram!
