FAMOUS TEXAS WINERIES ONLY AN HOUR AWAY FROM SAN ANTONIO
Road trip to Texas’ famous wine country, only an hour from San Antonio
They say everything is bigger in Texas, and that includes the Texas Hill Country wine region, which spans 9 million acres, making it the second-largest wine region in the nation. Fredericksburg, Texas, is an hour north of San Antonio and the perfect destination for a day trip. Many individuals visiting San Antonio don’t realize they’re only 70 miles driving distance from the famous Fredericksburg. The last time I visited Fredericksburg, I actually flew into San Antonio and drove into town, and it was a lovely drive.
With over 75 unique and visually stunning wineries scattered throughout the Texas Hill Country, there’s always a new place to explore around every bend. In addition to Fredericksburg’s wineries, there are numerous restaurants that serve German-inspired cuisine to highlight the town’s German heritage. Fredericksburg is an absolute bucket list destination, especially in the fall!
