OCTOBER 2

I had always wanted to take a photo with a smoke bomb and this was my first time and holy moly was it fun! I worked with Captured By Callie for this photo and she was amazing!

PHOTO DETAILS

Funny story about this pumpkin, it’s actually a fake one I took the plug and light out of for this shoot. My mom bought them years ago and spray painted them black because they melted in our attic! Hey those Texas summers get HOT! So I don’t have a link but you can find similar ones at Target or Walmart.

This dress is from Shein and beyond comfortable, for looking like a dress that wouldn’t be. Shop the dress here and be sure to use the code: 4TANNA15 for 15% off!

Arwen has been one of my favorite Lord of the Rings characters and when I saw this dress the costume just came together! What I love about this dress is that it’s not labeled a costume! I typically try to find pieces that aren’t at costume shops to create an amazing look. This one is not only great for Halloween but for the Renaissance fair too! Whether you’re Arwen or just a gorgeous elven queen, you’ll turn heads, that’s for sure!

This photo was taken in my parent’s pasture back home with my tripod! I wanted to play with the depth and put the tripod in front of some branches sticking out to be blurred out and add a little more to the photo.

See all the outfit details and more in the full How to be an Elven Queen blog post here.

Halloween fashion is fashion I can always get behind! I mean look at this candy corn sweater AND this skeleton cat dress😻 YES PLEASE.

I love dressing spooky and wearing costumes but practical Halloween fashion is totally a thing too. ModCloth has the best Halloween clothing for everyday wear + some pieces to create costumes with! Check out my full blog post here including details on this outfit, some of my other favorites from their shop, and a special spooky discount code just for you!

It’s the season of the witch, baby!

This was such a fun photoshoot with Callie! Again, she is so freaking creative. We actually didn’t have this photoshoot planned and I had mentioned needing to grab something from the attic and she was like “omg we should try to take some photos in there!” I definitely was like hmmm. I don’t know if it will end up looking good and y’all. Oh my lord was I wrong. These photos turned out absolutely amazing. My mom had a ton of Halloween decorations up there we pulled out and of course, everything looks spookier in candlelight!

Especially for spooky season, play with candlelight in your photos. It makes for a gorgeous and eerie photo, don’t you think?

See more from this shoot in a full blog post here.

Andrew better watch his back.. or his neck...🧛🏻‍♀️ I’m living my vampire dreams with this one! These awesome fangs from Amazon are only $10 and this super affordable Halloween inspired dress is under $30!🖤Also this liquid matte lipstick is one of my favorites and only $7!

I’ve basically been in love with vampires since I was younger because of my mom and sister’s obsession! My favorites are def a tie between Lestat de Lioncourt from Queen of the Damned and Eric Northman from True Blood!

OCTOBER 6

Did someone say Dalmatian? I just adore them!🖤

This is such a fun and easy costume to throw on for a party that will certainly turn heads. I loved being able to incorporate a coat that I could wear during the winter too.

See my full blog post with all the costume details here.

OCTOBER 7

A chic Halloween style is easier to pull off than you would think. Head over to your closet and pull out all your black, orange, and black & white pieces. Then start pairing things together. I wish I could link this beautiful skirt but I actually thrifted it while in Fayetteville! Can you believe it was a new with tags skirt priced at $300 and I got it for $12.50! Hello thrifting win! This beret and top however, I can link for you. The berets I purchased in a set of 4 and wear all the time in the fall and winter seasons. Shop them here. This turtleneck is from H&M and a STAPLE in my fall and winter wardrobe. It’s great for layering or to wear alone like this. Shop it here.

OCTOBER 8

From the moment I read about the Beauxbaton students in the Goblet of Fire, I was in love with them! So of course my Harry Potter loving self had to recreate their beautiful uniforms as a costume to wear for Halloween. I mean how elegant and fun is this outfit?!

Read the full blog post here with all the details and links.

OCTOBER 9

Halloween photoshoot tip: use props! I walked down the Halloween section at Walmart and grabbed things I thought I could play around with in photos and with the help of my amazing photographer Callie we pulled this off. What do you think? The spiderwebs were so easy to stretch out and then use for this spooky chic photoshoot!! See the full shoot here.

OCTOBER 10

When in doubt, ghost out!! This is such an easy and fun way to create a spooky photo!

Pretty sure my sister’s neighbors think I’m insane now.😂 Oh well!

OCTOBER 11

EAT, DRINK, & BE SCARY! Did somebody say skull waffles? I love a good themed breakfast, don’t you? Target definitely did when they made this $10 waffle iron! I’m sharing my full recipe here.

OCTOBER 13

It’s all the accessories, my spooky friend! Adding a little bit of spooky can seriously make an outfit. Take these hair pins from @modcloth for example. I popped them in and with this dress it’s an instant spooky chic look! Shop them here.

“They say that the brightest spark burns best when circumstances are at their worst.” - Sophie Hatter

Sophie has been one of my favorite characters for some time now thanks to my friends in college that introduced me to Howl’s Moving Castle! Y’all, I couldn’t wait to wear this costume and use some of my photoshop skills to make Calcifer come to life🔥Have you seen Howl’s Moving Castle before? Studio Ghibli movies are some of my favs! See the full blog post here.

THE EASIEST SABRINA SPELLMAN COSTUME!!

This dress was under $30 on amazon! AND of course if you don’t have grey hair you can buy some pretty awesome wigs too while you’re at it.

Are you a Sabrina Spellman fan? I remember watching the animated show when I was little and then Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Now I’m obsessed with the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina!! See the full blog post here.
