TIPS & TRICKS FOR SHOPPING THE LILLY PULITZER AFTER PARTY SALE
It’s that time of year, y’all. Time to shop til you drop during the Lilly Pulitzer After Party sale. Did you know Lilly doesn’t have a sale page? Well, this is why. Lilly has two mega sales twice a year. One in January and one in September. The sale will start around 8:00 a.m. EST on Monday, September 9th and will go until 11:59 p.m. EST on Wednesday, September 11th. Lucky you if you live near a store because the sale will start in-stores the weekend before on September 7th – 8th. This is definitely the time to shop if you love Lilly because dresses that are originally over $200, you can score anywhere from $59 - $99! You heard right; the sale is THAT good. BUT when there’s a sale as great at this one it means loads of people will be shopping it and items go quick and don’t typically get restocked once sold out. This is where my tips and tricks to shopping the sale will be extremely helpful.
TIPS FOR SHOPPING THE SALE
Create an account NOW
This is extremely important because this allows you to immediately purchase items without the added time of inputting your information before checking out. I’ve made the mistake of not creating an account and losing out on a dress I really wanted.
Log on EARLY
Set your alarms for about an hour or so before the sale goes live and get your spot in the queue. Refresh, refresh, refresh. I normally sit in bed in my PJs with my laptop ready to shop until I had to get ready for work. It can be a little discouraging to be number 364750 in the virtual waiting line, but don’t worry, it actually goes by pretty fast.
Use those filters
Once you get in, filter your size while looking at any category. This will help to make sure you’re not wasting your time. I made this mistake too, and wasted time looking at items that didn’t even have my size. Lesson learned, that’s for certain.
Say goodbye once you check out
Be sure you’re ready to check out once you do because when you check out you lose your spot. If you want to shop again, you’ll be placed at the end of the virtual line. The virtual line pretty much goes away after the first couple of hours, so I recommend if you want something, buy it right then. Leaving some things in your cart means they’re available to others. I’ve lost out on a couple of items that way.
Keep in mind that all sales are final
This means no returns if something doesn’t fit. I recommend while you’re creating your account a couple days before, taking the true size quiz too. This allows you to input your measurements and determine your Lilly sizes. Another great way to determine your sizes is to go to a Lilly Pulitzer store and try on dresses, shorts, tops, and rompers to make sure you know your size.
Keep checking the website
Remember that new items will be added everyday so be sure to check the website on September 10th and 11th and watch Lilly Pulitzer’s stories on Instagram.
