GET READY TRAVEL BUGS!

Travel deal Tuesday, the day after Cyber Monday is THE time to save big on airline tickets. If you’re planning a trip or have been dreaming of a place to go get out your credit cards and prepare to rack up some points. Many sites like Hopper and Kayak are going to be the places to check for cheap flights on this specific day as well as the main airline sites too. Be sure you ALWAYS compare. I typically have like 5 browsers open when I’m booking a flight.

Also I highly suggest having the pages open in an incognito window. Sites like Hopper and Kayak and I’m sure airline sites as well, check your cookies and totally raise prices if you’ve checked out a specific flight numerous times. Those sneaky snakes right?! Additionally, you can change your VPN so the website believe you’re in another country and flights will typically be different prices. I will usually change mine to a lower income country, like India. Then open up an incognito window and search for the flight you’re looking at. You can change your VPN at Express VPN. I know it sounds sketchy, but it’s completely safe. This is also how I watch certain shows that are only available on specific countries Netflix, haha!

TIPS & TRICKS TO GETTING CHEAP FLIGHTS

AIRLINE CREDIT CARDS

I highly recommend getting an airline credit card to start racking up travel points. I’ve flown several times for free with points as well as being upgraded because I’m a rewards member! Here are some of my favorites:

Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Card

American Airlines AAdvantage MileUp Card

Delta SkyMiles Cards

AIRLINE PARTNER SITES

These sites are WONDERFUL! They pull flight information and rates from all different airlines. All you have to do is type in what airport you’ll be flying from and to, similarly to a normal airline site and then the dates and BAM! You’ve got a list of different flights on various airlines.

Kayak

Hopper

Momondo

AIRLINES

These are the airline I fly pretty often. The most often being American, Southwest, and United BUT I’ve flown them all and really liked them. I’ve only flown Delta and Virgin a handful of times but I LOVED them.

Allegiant

Allegiant is a cheaper airline, similar to Spirit. I flew it from Tulsa to LAX one time because the price was amazing, but I think that may have been too long of a flight for me for that type of airline. It’s VERY basic. The seats aren’t super cushioned and that’s why I couldn’t get comfortable, but for anything under an hour or maybe a little more, I recommend it.

American

Southwest

Southwest is one of my favorite airlines because they’re extremely flexible if you have to change your flight!

Delta

Virgin

United

Jetblue

Be sure to check your favorite international airlines too like Air New Zealand. This is where sites like Kayak, Hopper, and Momondo come in.

CHEAP FLIGHT BLOGS

These blogs are great to subscribe to for future flight deals. They send out emails almost every day with amazing deals on flights to various places around the world.

Scotts Cheap Flights

I swear by the website y’all. Seriously. I got a round trip airline ticket on American Airlines to Auckland, New Zealand from Los Angeles for $400! Yup. I said 400 DOLLARS!

Dollar Flight Club

I get emails from Dollar Flight Club all the time and they offer amazing deals, very similarly to Scotts Cheap Flights. I love being on the email list for both because then I get notified about all kinds of amazing deals.
