A GIRLS GUIDE TO SHOPPING AT SHEIN
If you’re on the internet often, I guarantee you’ve seen an advertisement for Shein, clicked on it, and then thought, “woah, this price has to be a joke!” NOPE. It’s not. I’ve been ordering from Shein for about 3 years now and have mastered how to shop their clothing. If you don’t want to put in a little work, then it might not be the place for you, BUT if you’re willing to take a little more time while shopping online and save dat MONEY then continue reading.
Shein is definitely a website where you have to know what to look for. Some of the items on their website aren’t the best quality or look how their advertised BUT a lot of their items are great quality, affordable, and super CUTE! If that wasn’t enough to sell you, they’re always offering additional discounts + free shipping on orders over $49 and free returns. It always takes a different amount of time for shipping when I order. I really don’t know their process but the longest it’s ever taken for me to receive everything is about 12 days and the shortest is 6.🤷🏻♀️
Alright, let’s get to how we’re going to find you some great pieces.
Step One
Check the size & fit of EVERY SINGLE ITEM. Y’all this is SO important. The size & fit for every item is different. I made this mistake ordering a small in a dress one time and it was WAY too tight because it actually fit like an xsmall. I also suggest purchasing a tape measure to make sure you know your exact measurements.
Step Two
Read the description of every item to see what fabric it’s made out of. Some of the items might not be made out of the fabric you would think. I purchased a graphic tee before I thought was going to be one of those softer cotton graphic tees and it was actually polyester with spandex. I still really like it but it wasn’t what I was expecting.
Step Three
READ REVIEWS! Reviews are what truly make Shein shoppable in my opinion. Thank you to all the ladies out there leaving reviews about clothing and everything else from Shein. Individuals are always leaving reviews and pictures of the products they’ve purchased. I’ve almost purchased a couple of items, then saw the reviews and didn’t. I’ve also done the opposite where I’ve seen an item and was like, “meh maybe” then saw a picture of it on someone and purchased it!
Step Four
After you’ve completed the first two steps and you’ve received your items, REVIEW THEM!! Take pictures in your items and support other gals like you looking to shop Shein.
