Are Selkie Dresses worth the money?

The Selkie puff dresses are absolutely beautiful! They come in multiple styles, lengths, etc. but the price point is a little high for the average person. The cheapest Selkie dress you can find is normally in the $225 range. I was able to get my short cloud puff dress for around $225 on sale at Dollskill and then my long rainbow Selkie dress on Selkie’s website on sale for Easter for about $250. My honest review on the Selkie dresses are that they’re amazing. The quality is great, especially being made in China and they’re overall amazing! The only thing is that where are you realistically going to wear these huge poofy dresses? I was talking to my mom the other day about this and we were like “hmmm you’re really only going to wear them for photoshoots & somewhere like Disney World”.

For me, it made sense to buy a Selkie because I’m a full time content creator and budgeted to be able to afford one but I’m not out here buying a ton of them because they’re not practical. I found a couple amazing dupes for literally 1/4 and some even 1/8 of the price that are more practical. I wore one in Fredericksburg to various vineyards and restaurants. I’m not out here wearing my princess Selkie dresses to vineyards, haha! I researched and researched different dupes or other blog posts with Selkie dress dupes and kept coming up empty handed so I’ve done the dirty work for you and created one.
