TIPS & TRICKS ON HOW TO ADJUST YOUR BUSINESS DURING A PANDEMIC

Hey fam! I hope you’re doing well during this wild time right now. It’s crazy to think about what we’re going through at the moment. I feel like years from now or even next year we’re going to look back on this time and be like “wow, we made it through this!” This is the time to truly reflect on yourself and what you’re doing.

TIPS & TRICKS ON HOW TO ADJUST YOUR BUSINESS DURING A PANDEMIC

As a business owner and digital content creator, it’s been a HUGE transition shifting the direction and voice of my content during this time, BUT I ultimately believe this situation helped me grow as a business owner, because I’ve had to learn to adapt quickly. Adapting to situations that are thrown at you can be vital to a successful business. As business owners we must be able to change and grow with the current time. That being said, it’s not a cake walk by any means. I’ve been struggling a lot with this lately. As a fashion and lifestyle blogger, I depend a lot on brand deals and collaborations for a significant part of my income. Additionally, I have an online store that provides a small amount of income.

Now, I’ve had to really consider those who don’t have expendable income due to the coronavirus and start shifting my business towards something else. I’ve always been passionate about teaching, especially when it comes to social media. It’s been in the back of my mind to start developing courses and content geared around social media tips & tricks but never something I wanted to go all in on…until now. I feel like now is the time to share my knowledge with others and provide a plethora of free content to my audience as a way to give back and help them grow in the social media space too.

Now is the time to create as much content as you can while so many eyes are online. Share personal stories about your business, create video recipes or blog posts of what to cook while you’ve got the time, share tips & tricks for the specific topic you’re an expert in, create “how to” posts or videos, etc. Be the top of mind for people online right now and be as helpful as possible. The key is to give value to others always, but especially now. People may not be willing to buy now, but when they’re ready to buy, if you’ve been valuable during these challenging times, people will remember in the future.

I believe discussion is key during this time. Being able to talk with likeminded individuals and other entrepreneurs has been extremely helpful during this time of adaptation. I’ve been utilizing many different resources out there but my favorite has been utilizing GoDaddy’s microsite #OpenWeStand for resources, inspiration & connection to other entrepreneurs during this uncertain time. The website has articles on what’s happening in the business world during this time, a community group where you can open up about your business and share experiences with others, and more! It’s truly inspiring to see companies like GoDaddy take initiative and support business like this right now. There’s something special about identifying with others who are going through similar situations and lending a helping hand.

Additionally, I wanted to share a couple of resources that have been helpful for me. Here is the resource for the programs such as: Paycheck Protection Program, EIDL Loan Advance, SBA Express Bridge Loans, & SBA Debt Relief.
