11 INDOOR PHOTOSHOOT IDEAS

With everything going on right now and people self quarantining, many individuals are going a little stir crazy! Especially influencers, content creators, and photographers because they’re used to being out n about for content creation BUT content creation doesn’t have to be about location! You can easily create amazing photos in your very own home. Don’t believe me? I’ve shared

11 different ideas

for you to create yourself and make them your own! Remember that it’s truly all about you not the location. Have fun with indoor shoots and really explore your creativity!

HOP IN BED

Everyone can relate to chillin’ in bed right?! Make a photoshoot out of and add you own bit of fun and flair. I recently did a shoot for a brand and wrapped myself up in a blanket and grabbed a bowl of popcorn and sat on my bed. It was a cute and cozy look and BEYOND easy to create. This photo below was SO much fun because I was eating cookies while getting my picture taken, haha! I always feel like food in bed, is something everyone has done and can 100% relate to! Order a pizza, grab a bowl of popcorn, eat cookies, etc.

CREATE A COZY CORNER

This is such an easy way to create a cool shop. grab some of your favorite items, pillows, etc. and create a cute little space for you to chill. I created this little corner and it’s still the way it looks in these photos because I LOVED how I styled it!

USE A PROP

I found this gorgeous antique phone at a resale shop but you can find similar ones on Amazon here, but you don’t need to have some fancy looking phone to create a cool shot with a prop! It’s all about getting creative, ya know. Jump on your bed with a pillow, use a soda or bubbly water as a prop with you, grab a wine glass, use a plant to play with depth perception, the opportunities are quite literally endless!

LOOK THROUGH YOUR MAKEUP

I know you’ve got a drawer full of makeup so play around with different ways to create a cool makeup shot indoors. Playing around with mirrors is always fun and super easy! Additionally, this is a great time to write reviews of products if you have a blog or other social platforms.

TAKE TO THE KITCHEN

The kitchen is actually one of my favorite places to shoot because I’m usually making something to eat or drink and who doesn’t love that, right?! Next time you’re in the kitchen making a meal, make a photoshoot out of it!

CREATIVE PORTRAITS

THESE ARE MY ALL TIME FAVORITE THING TO DO! I mean let your creativity shine! Glue random stuff to your face and call it a day! This is a great opportunity to play around with bright and fun makeup too. I would never wear pink eyeliner or green eye shadow so this was really fun to do. When taking your portrait photos, be sure to take them in front of a blank wall so you can edit out the background and add something else if you want. Canva is a great resource for templates and photo editing. They just added a feature where you can easily edit out the background!

SKINCARE PHOTOS

While everyone is stuck indoors, talking about your skincare routine can be very helpful… AND easy to photoshoot! Wrap yourself up in a towel or put on some PJs and grab some of your favorite skincare products! Photoshoots like this are great to take on your bed, in a comfy chair, or even on your bathroom countertop.

HEAD TO THE TUB

This photo might be my all time favorite. It was all completely last minute and was created because it was raining outside. This photo actually turned out being way better than anything I could have created outdoors. Tub photos can be create for talking about relaxing, hair care products, etc. You can also try the milk bath photos! I haven’t done this yet but I might soon while stuck indoors. See some examples here.

GET UNDER YOUR SHEETS

I wasn’t too sure about this photoshoot at first but ended up loving the end result. I put my tripod under the sheets with me and set up a selfie light on it as well to help brighten things up. Play with putting the sheet in front of half your face to create a cool depth effect. This is such a fresh and pretty photo and is SO EASY, y’all! Try adding some flowers under the sheets with you, that might be really cool as well.

PLAY WITH LIGHTS

Lights can create such unique photos and really bring the focus to you or the light so the background doesn’t even matter. In the photos below, these were $3 battery powered lights from the Target dollar section. Play with the depth, turn off all the overhead lights and try taking some in the dark with lights glowing around you! The opportunities are endless!

STAGE A MOVIE NIGHT

I know that you all have movie nights and def have movie snacks so the next time you do this, make it a photoshoot! Add a little fluff like some paper straws or whatever you have around.

Be sure to pop over to my post all about Valentine’s photoshoots where there are many indoor shoot photos as well.
