THE MOST ADORABLE PLACE TO STAY

Hotel Ginger

In all seasons Hotel Ginger is all-luxurious, with Martha's Vineyard's most glam French marble bathrooms and boutique decor, rose wine tastings, and weekend pop ups. Their spaces are inspired by iconic women - Beyonce, Audrey Hepburn, Diana Ross, Joan Rivers and more - and their paths as style, political and cultural leaders. Hotel Ginger has the taste of a personal shopper, the energy of a comic, and the wit of an art-school dropout. The result is a boutique hotel in lively conversation with the Vineyard's Gingerbread Quarter!

TRENDY & GRAMMABLE THINGS TO DO ON OAK BLUFFS

VISIT THE NOTORIOUS GINGERBREAD VILLAGE

While on Martha’s Vineyard, it’s impossible to ignore the 318 gingerbread cottages in Oak Bluffs. From shades of Pepto pink to bright teal and dripping with intricate wooden trim, you’ll absolutely want to snap a picture for the gram in front of one of these storybook gingerbread homes. The iconic houses are only a short 7 minute walk from Hotel Ginger through Oak Bluff’s Main Street, Circuit Ave. Grab coffee and donuts at Back Door Donuts then head to this fairytale village.

DAY TRIP TO NANTUCKET ISLAND

Island hopping from Martha’s Vineyard to Nantucket is a very popular New England thing to do! Learn about the islands at the famous Whaling Museum, which is only a short walk from the ferry dock or head to Easton Street and explore the Brant Point Lighthouse; the second lighthouse established in colonial America. This New England island is only an hour ferry ride away from Oak Bluffs ferry dock and well worth it.

RELAX ON THE BEACH

One of the many charms that encompasses Martha's Vineyard is its scenic beaches. Hard to believe but an island just over 84 square miles offers 17 each uniquely different beaches. Steps from the hotel, head to Town Beach to sink your toes in the sand and feel the ocean breeze through your hair. The calm surf of Town Beach and Jetty Beach are ideal for all kinds of paddling. Rent a kayak or paddleboard and drift out into the blue waters. Travel along the coast for a view of East Chop or simply enjoy the sights of fisherman coming into the nearby harbor.

Martha’s Vineyard is a place everyone should visit in their life. I was absolutely blown away by the vibe, people, and of course, seafood — specifically lobster!
