WHY STAYING AT HOTEL INDIGO WHEN VISITING TULSA, OKLAHOMA IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST
Why you need to stay at Hotel Indigo when visiting Tulsa
Hotel Indigo Tulsa Downtown is always a dream when we visit. We’ve stayed a couple of times before and always have a wonderful experience because of the hospitality, food, drinks, and views of the city. Every Hotel Indigo is different and centered around the neighborhood in which it’s in. That’s why when you walk into Hotel Indigo Tulsa Downtown, you immediately feel like part of the city with its’ special Tulsa and Oklahoma touches! Not only this, but you’re walking distance from some of the coolest places in Tulsa. From the Guthrie Green, where there’s bound to be a fun event going on, to the Philbrook and Ahha Museums to the Tulsa Performing Arts Center to the Drillers and Roughnecks sports teams, there’s something for everyone within walking distance.

What are the rooms like at Hotel Indigo in Tulsa?
In every room, there is a mural that adds a little bit of fun and character to the already trendy aesthetic. Some of the murals feature the well-known Golden Driller or many of the Route 66 street signs. I thought that little, well I should say big, detail added such a difference to rooms I’ve stayed in before in such a cool way. Hotel Indigo Tulsa Downtown truly spoiled us with the lovely charcuterie board full of local meats, local cheeses, and more! I love a good local cheese especially when I can pair it with some local wine and beer which was also sent to our room and is available for guests. Something I found very unique about Hotel Indigo Tulsa Downtown is that they truly believe in supporting local businesses whether that be in the food they serve or the alcohol they serve in the Roof Sixty Six Bar. Andrew and I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food with a fantastic view of the Blue Dome district, which is where we used to live! This is a wonderful area to explore while in Tulsa because of the restaurants, bars, museums, book shops, coffee houses, and activities such as baseball games, bowling, and arcade games. There was even a McNellies pub run going on right outside our window while we were there. McNellies was one of our favorite spots to visit for burger nights on Wednesday where their burgers were under $5!
After enjoying our delicious Oklahoma-shaped charcuterie board, we enjoyed a little rest on the comfortable beds. I’m fairly picky when it comes to beds and this one was so comfy you just didn’t even want to get out of it in the morning. On Sunday morning, I spent a lot of time in bed enjoying room coffee and watching Bravo on TV. It’s crazy to think for an avid coffee drinker but a lot of hotels don’t have coffee makers in the rooms so when they do and have a decent amount of coffee and tea it’s a big deal to me! The coffee and tea bar at Hotel Indigo was great!
The Bees Knees
When I tell you Hotel Indigo Tulsa Downtown is unique, I mean UNIQUE! We were given the opportunity to see something pretty incredible on the roof of the hotel. Hotel Indigo Tulsa Downtown has REAL BEE HIVES on the roof!! From below walking by you would never know! I lived downtown next to the hotel for about two years and had no idea there were bees on the hotel’s roof. We were able to see the bees and learn about how all the honey served in the Prospect Local Bar & Kitchen is from their very own busy bees working upstairs — AND if you love the honey, which I know you will, you can purchase your very own jar to take home with you in the marketplace across from the front desk.
Prospect Local Bar & Kitchen
Get ready to DROOL in the Prospect Local Bar & Kitchen. They have the most delicious and aesthetically pleasing food for my foodie friends. You’ll love snapping a photo of this food, but you’ll definitely love eating all this deliciousness even more! Andrew and I had the chicken and waffles, french toast, and the veggie hash! The Prospect Local Bar & Kitchen also has a fun little event every Thursday night for Fried Chicken Night. Chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, green beans, and rolls for just $10 per person! I mean, how can you not?!
Roof Sixty Six Bar
Roof Sixty Six Bar is one of the GEMS of Hotel Indigo Tulsa Downtown because of its magnificent view of the Tulsa skyline, amazing drinks, and wonderful atmosphere. Whether you’re a hotel guest or not, this bar is definitely a place for everyone. I remember spending some amazing evenings with friends at Roof Sixty-Six Bar while we lived in Tulsa.
I definitely recommend the old-fashioned! It’s made with a delicious toffee nut bourbon that has the most amazing aftertaste!
I highly recommend checking out Hotel Indigo Tulsa Downtown while visiting Tulsa!
