STARBUCKS MEDICINE BALL RECIPE
I’m the BIGGEST fan of the medicine ball drink at Starbucks but when I’m sick I want to purchase about 10 of them and at $4 a pop that’s pretty DANG expensive, so I decided to create my very own medicine ball. First you’ll need to choose the type of tea you’ll want. Starbucks uses Teavana Jade Citrus Mint and Teavana Peach Tranquility. I went to Trader Joe’s to buy all my ingredients so I picked up the Organic Moroccan Mint tea and the Harvest Blend Herbal tea which has cinnamon, ginger, hibiscus, and apple. Some other teas I recommend are:
MINT TEA
Bigelow Mint Medley tea
Celestial Seasonings Peppermint Herbal tea
Tazo Refresh Mint tea
FRUIT TEA
Bigelow Perfect Peach
Tazo Organic Baked Cinnamon Apple Caffeine-Free Herbal tea
Tazo Wild Sweet Orange Tea Bags Herbal tea
Celestial Seasonings Fruit Tea Sampler Herbal tea
Celestial Seasonings Jammin' Lemon Ginger Herbal tea
I like to add some of my favorite CBD oil to my tea to settle my mind down because when I’m sick I start freaking out about all the things I can’t accomplish. Pharm Organics has different flavored tincture CDB oil and my favorite is the citrus. Additionally, adding in some peppermint oil, syrup, or even mint leaves adds a nice little kick to help clear those sinuses.
INGREDIENTS
- lemonade
- honey
- mint tea
- fruit tea
- peppermint extract or peppermint syrup
- CBD oil
- lemon
INSTRUCTIONS
Fill your cup almost half way full of lemonade and put it in the microwave for 1 minute. Be sure your cup is microwave safe.
In the meantime, heat up about a cup of water. You want the water hot enough to steep the tea. I normally fill up a coffee mug full with my Keurig.
Add a big squeeze of honey to the hot lemonade, CBD oil (if you’re using any), and 1/2 a teaspoon of peppermint extract or syrup (if you want it to be more minty).
Pour the hot water into your cup filling it almost to the top.
Add your mint tea bag and your fruit tea bag.
Add a splash of lemon and ENJOY!
